CHALLENGE
To design, build and deliver an HPU with lead time of less than one month, during the Christmas break, for shipment to North Africa.
The appliance was required drive hydraulically powered drilling equipment reliably in year-round, high North African temperatures.
SOLUTIONS
A range of electrically-driven Oil Well Beam Pumps in South Australia’s Cooper Basin will be powered and controlled with an integrated Variable Speed Drive / Generator skid package designed by CD Power, in collaboration with a leading pump control system supplier. The reliable Deutz air-cooled engine runs on crude oil from the well and the Well Manager/VSD is integrated with the generator. A Dynamic Brake Resistor has been used to drive optimum well performance. The package can be fully factory commissioned and is self-bunded to greatly reduce installation time and cost.
